Here we are again with another Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #114. It's hard to believe that Christmas is now less then 6 months away...but I've got a great head start on my Christmas cards!
This week's challenge was to use "Sparkle, Shimmer or Shine" on our card. I love to use sparkle, shimmer and shine on my cards, but every idea I came up with just wouldn't work out on paper. So yesterday, I went through my Christmas paper and came across a Christmas pack I bought a few years ago. I love all the papers in this packet, but could never find the right color card stock to match up the green-blue or red colors used in most of the designer paper, so a lot of the paper is still in tact, just waiting for me.
The designer paper pack is from SEI called "Winter Song". The piece of dp I used was actually a snow scene with deer and trees and I just used the upper portion of the dp for the sparkling snowflakes. I also used Penny Black's "Peace" die cut from the "Love and Joy" die cut set, which is cut from Stampin' Up's "Real Red" card stock and sparkled with Wink of Stella. The words "On Earth, Good Will Towards Men" is from PaperTrey Ink's "Wonderful Words: Holiday", stamped in Stampin' Up's "Real Red" ink. I finished the card off with red rhinestones, red DMC floss and a white snowflake I punched out of Cheery Lynn Designs' "Snowflake" die. I used Tim Holtz's "Stardust" stickles on the snowflake attached to the red DMC floss. The white card base is Gina K's "Pure White Luxury" card stock.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by to check out the other beautiful Sparkle, Shimmer and Shine cards.
