Some Penny Black to share today

I love Penny Black stamps and they have been coming out with some gorgeous stamps in the past year.  I thought I would share a couple of cards I've made about two weeks ago.  I CASED the card from a local stamp store, but changed the colors.  I used purple and black card stock from a local scrapbook store (that has since closed, so bummed!) and Gina K's pure luxury white card stock.  I stamped the flowers (PB's Flower Festival stamp set) in Tuxedo Black ink and used Copic Markers (RV25, V25, YG95, Y13 and Y08) to color them.  I thought the card needed a little bling, so I added yellow Wink of Stella over the yellow middles.  I stamped Happy Mother's Day from PTI's Keep It Simple: Mother Mini stamp set.  I did cut the stamp to put Happy above Mother's Day.  I used a piece of purple baker's twine and a pink button to finish off the card.

The second card is from PB's Pretty Petals stamp set.  I stamped the flowers with Tuxedo Black ink on Gina K's Pure Luxury White card stock and colored the flowers with Copic Markers (R23, YR68, Y13, V25 and RV25).  After coloring the flowers, I added glossy accents and set them aside to dry. Originally, the card was going to be CASED from Penny Black's pinterest board. The card I love has the flowers coming up from the bottom of the card, but when I check on them as they were drying, I notice a few were upside down, but that the flowers looked cool coming down from the top of the card and waa-laa, my card changed immediately!  I finished the card off with die cutting out Hugs (PTI's Big Hugs dies) in Stampin' Up's Tangelo Twist card stock  and added the sentiment from PTI's Big Hugs stamp set in Tuxedo Black ink and mounted the flowers to SU's Tangelo Twist card stock.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it when you do.
