Happy Father's Day

Hi everyone!  This weekend was a busy one with a wedding shower for my future daughter-in-law and spending today celebrating Father's Day with my hubby, my dad and most of the family at my parents' home.  The weather was perfect...no rain!!

This is what my hubby would love to do every day, but right now it's just not possible.    When I saw this stamp, I knew it would be perfect for him!  This stamp isn't new in the Penny Black line, but it is new to me!

I used Stampin' Up's Real Red card stock as the base.  I stamped PB's Dropping You a Line in Tuxedo Black in on Gina K's Pure Luxury White card stock.  I water colored the image with SU's Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Island Indigo and Smoky Slate inks.  I finished the card off with Happy Father's Day from PaperTrey Ink's Keep It Simple Father stamp set.  I did cut the stamp as is was a one line stamp and it didn't fit in the corner.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I love it when you do!

So many cards and so little time!

Sorry it's been awhile since I last posted.  The wedding invitations are being sealed, addressed and stamped tomorrow for Monday's mail.  I will post it at a later date.  Oh my what an undertaking that project was.  I have been working over time and doing the invitations in my spare time.  Needless to say, my house cleaning has taken a back seat and that will be one of my projects for the coming week.  In the midst of overtime and making the wedding invitations, I still had to make a few cards for my sister's employees who had birthdays this month.  Here are the last two I've created.

On this card, I used Stampin' Up's Crazy About You stamp set, Hello You Thinlits, Pear Pizzazz and Rose Red ink, Rose Red and Certain Celery card stock, as I didn't have any Pear Pizzazz card stock and Gina K's Pure Luxury White card stock.  The flowers are Fancy Blossoms die cut from Memory Box.  All the flowers and the word happy were embellished with clear Wink of Stella.  I just can't resist some shimmer!

I blocked off part of the card with micropore tape and stamped the leaves and glued down Happy in the white space, stamped birthday and added the flowers.  I finished the card off with pearl accents.

On card number two, I used SU's Bordering Blooms in Pool Party and Early Espresso inks on Gina K's Pure Luxury Ivory card stock and Pool Party card stock.  The Happy die cut is from PaperTrey Ink's Wet Paint Cuts and birthday is from Wet Paint Stamp Set.  I added SU's Beautiful Wings Embosslits to finish the card off as it needed just a little something more.   And because I love shimmer, I did add clear Wink of Stella to the blooms, the butterflies and the word happy.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  The next two weekends, I have bridal showers to attend, but am hoping I'll be back to posting once a week until my next wedding project...the wedding program in mid to late July.  Only 62 days until the wedding and I still have to buy a dress!  I don't wear dresses very often, so yes, I am procrastinating!  Have a great week!!
