I wanted to participate in this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #331. The colors are light pink, bright pink, green and kraft.
I used Stampin' Up's Crumb Cake card stock as my base and stamped the large flower in SU's Melon Mambo and the leaves in Wild Wasabi inks. The stamp set I used is SU's Peaceful Petals.
On a scrap piece of Gina K's pure luxury white card stock, I stamped the large flower in SU's Melon Mambo and colored it with 3 Copic markers (RV10, R20 & RV25) and also colored the leaves with Copic markers (G43 & G82) and cut the flower and leaves out and mounted them on the card with pop dots after wrapping SU's thick baker's twine in Strawberry Slush.
To finish off the card, I cut a piece of SU's Wild Wasabi card stock from SU's Banner dies and stamped sending from PaperTrey Ink's Big Hugs stamp set in Wild Wasabi ink, too. I cut out one of the hug dies from PTI's Big Hugs die set from a piece of SU's Blushing Bride card stock. I also ran clear Wink of Stella across the flower and the word Hugs for a little sparkle.
Thank you so much for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other beautiful cards made with the great colors at CTD #331.
What a beautiful flower and how clever to stamp the flower for the background...love the diecut sentiment, too!!! Thanks for joining us for the Color Throwdown Challenge!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty Sue! And I'm so impressed that you did some fussy cutting...it looks wonderful on this card! :0) And I really love your background too!!
