Here is the second card I am going to enter into Simon Wednesday
Challenge. I used a piece of Gina K's Pure Luxury White card stock cut
to 3.5 x 5.5 (gladstone). I made this card based on the piece of dp I
found (sorry, it was a scrap and I don't know who manufactured it). I
hadn't made a pink card in awhile, so I felt called to do so. The
flower is from Stampin' Up's 2015 Sale-a-bration catalog called Lotus
Blossom Stamp Set. It is a 3-step stamp. I used SU's Melon Mambo ink.
I stamped off the solid flower 2 times before stamping it on the
cardstock, the second stamp was stamped off 1 time before I stamped it
on the card stock and the 3rd stamp was stamped directly on the
cardstock. I did this because I couldn't find 3 pinks that were close
enough in color. The stem was stamped in SU's Pear Pizzazz and Old
Olive inks. I cut the word Happy from PaperTrey Ink's Wet Paint set in
SU's Melon Mambo cardstock and stamped the word birthday from SU's
Endless Birthday Wishes. I finished off the card with a piece of pink
bakers twine, the piece of pink chevron dp and then rounded off the
corners of my card. Originally the piece of dp was going to go on the
left, but I had to cover up an ink smear from my finger, I guess, as I'm
not sure exactly where the smear came from. I didn't want to scrap the
whole card for that one smear. Easy fix.
