This was a fun card to make and I love that I will be able to enter it into 3 different challenges. The first challenge is Make It Monday's #179--Emboss Resist using diecuts, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge--Make Your Own Background and Color Throwdown #309--using light blue, blue, a citrus-y green and grey. I used Stampin' Up's Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist and Smoky Slate and Tim Holtz's Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass.
I started out with Gina K's Pure Luxury White Card stock and using Laura Emboss Resist technique with Paper Trey Ink's Beautiful Blooms II #3 dies with clear embossing powder, which I heat set. I then used Tim Holtz's circle blending tool to blend the four ink colors onto the card stock, which the flowers resisted due to the heat embossed process. I finished the card off with some blue baker's twine and a blue button and die cut out Make a Wish from Penny Black's Celebration dies in SU's Smoky Slate card stock. I mounted on card on Stampin' Up's Soft Blue and Pear Pizzazz card stock and on the other card, I switched the Soft Blue and Pear Pizzazz card stock. I really love how these two cards turned out. So pretty. Here are a separate picture of each card, too.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by Make It Monday #179, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge and Color Throwdown #309 to see all the beautiful cards posted.
