It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's time again for Merry Monday's Christmas Challenge #125--include some type of transportation in your card.  I'm cutting it down to the wire again.  I've really got to get these projects done during the week, instead of waiting until the weekend.  There's never enough time.  I loved this challenge and I really love all the cards that everyone is coming up with.  So much fun!

I started out using a speckled Navy card stock for the base of my card that I get from a local stamp store.  I stamped the trees from Stampin' Up's Scenic Season set in Tuxedo Black ink.  I then used Distress Paint in Picket Fence for the snow and added Distress Glitter in Rock Candy while the paint was still wet for the sparkling snow effect.  As that was drying, I cut out the house from PaperTrey Ink's Winter Hills and colored it with Copics (W9, N4, Y000 and R39).  I couldn't find my Stampin Up truck from Loads of Fun, but I had another pickup truck that had a fishing pole in the back end, but I just cut the truck out and it was a great substitute.  I can't stand it that I couldn't find the SU truck.  This truck is from Great Impressions #E-502.  I colored it with Copics (E25, W9 and N4).  The gifts from SU's Loads of Love stamp set fit perfect in the back end of the pickup truck and I colored them with Copics (R27, B34, B45, Y000 and G14).  I added a half moon that I cut from an 1" circle punch.  I finished off the card with PTI's City Scene Christmas Sentiments and die cut it out with PTI's Journal Card Border Dies and sprinkle some Rock Candy glitter all over the card for a falling snow effect..

I really love how this card turned out.  Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to check out the beautiful Transportation cards at Merry Monday's #125 Christmas Challenge.

  2. Great card Sue! I really love how you stamped the trees in black against the navy cs...they look so realistic against the night sky! Now that you've finished your card, you'll probably find the SU! truck...that's how it always works for me...grrrrrr! :0)
