Merry Monday's Challenge #115 - White on White

I have to say, it is nice to have a  Friday off from work.  This puts me ahead of the game in getting my card done early.  Happy 4th of July everyone.  I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend!

This week's Merry Monday's Challenge #115 is to use White on White (sentiment can be in silver).  In all the years I have been stamping, I've never made a white on white card, even though I love the look of them!  They are always so crisp and clean.

I took a few days to think about what I wanted to do with my card.  The layout is what I was envisioning, but not the die cut images.

I started with a 5x5 card cut from Gina K's "Pure White Luxury" card stock.  I cut out a Lil' Inkers' "Stitched Circle" from the middle of the card.  I then wanted to dry emboss the card base.  I thought I would try Spellbinder's "Snowflake" impressibility.  It didn't give the deep embossed texture that I am use to, so it didn't photograph very well.  I stamped just the word "Joy" from stamp #96944 from Inkadinkado, in Stampin' Up's "White" craft ink and embossed it with a homemade silver embossing powder (I mixed some silver, white and glitter embossing powders together).  I used an embossing pen and inked up "to the world" from the Inkadinkado stamp #60-00020, which I also embossed with my homemade embossing powder and trimmed around it and pop dotted it along the J of joy.  I die cut out the girl twice from Tim Holtz's "Victorian Carolers" and dry embossed them with a Sizzix "Holly" embossing folder.  I pop dotted them to the front of my card.

Thank you for stopping by and follow this link Merry Monday's Challenge #115 to see the other beautifully, crisp and clean cards.
