Guest Star Stamper for CTD #302

I'm back again with ColorThrowdown Challenge #302.  My card from CTD #300 was randomly picked as the featured stamper, so now I have the pleasure of being the Guest Star Stamper for this week's CTD #302.  When I got the email from Tammy Hershberger with the colors for this week's challenge, I fell in love.  These colors work great together.

I decided to combine the colors with a birthday card I need to make for an upcoming birthday for one of my sister's employees.

I used Stampin' Up's "Bernuda Bay", "Daffodil Delight" and "Rich Razzleberry" inks and card stock.  I also used Gina K's "Pure Luxury White" card stock.

I then used Erin Lincoln's "Masking with Dies" technique that she shared on Make It Monday #170 a few weeks ago.  I die cut the masks and attached them with double stick glue and then water colored with "Bermuda Bay" ink for the background.  You remove the masks one at a time and stamp the flower or leaf in it's place.  It leaves a little white space around the stamped image, which I think, looks cool.  The stamps and dies I used were from PaperTrey Ink's "Friendly Flowers" and "Friendly Flower" die and "Friendly Flower Extra" dies.

I finished off the card with a die cut "Friendly Flower" and stamped the "Happy Birthday" from My Favorite Things' "Birthday Greetings" and made the "ribbon" from card stock. It was an easy card to make.

Be sure to check out this week's CTD #302 for other beautiful cards made with these three colors and you have until 6pm EST Monday, July 28 to enter your card!  Come on, I know you want to:)
