Celebration..Enjoy it! What a great saying. This is one of the reasons I bought Penny Black's Sentiment collection. If you don't have it, check out the other wonderful sentiments it has. One of the other ones that I really like is "All you need is love and a dog" Perfect saying for a dog lover in your life.
My mojo is still sitting on the back burner. I decided Friday afternoon to stamp a few images in black and just color to see if would help me get out of this slump. I went to see what the colors are for this week's Color Throwdown #402 and pulled out Copics close to green, orange, purple and aqua and settled in to color while listening to the Hallmark Channel. I finished up the card this afternoon as I couldn't decide how to finish it off before today. That seems to be where my mojo has left me.

PB's Sentiment Collection
SSS Intense Black Ink Pad

The Apricot Appeal just made this card jump off the page and I really like how it turned out. I did put a bit of Spectrum Noir Clear glitter on the center of the flowers. Hard to see in my picture though.
Here's a picture of my other image I colored on Friday afternoon. I've been wanting to ink up this stamp from PB for awhile now.

Again, I didn't finish off the card until this afternoon, but I really do like how it turned out, too.
I'll be back tomorrow afternoon for PTI's Blog Hop and to also post some of my creations from PTI's Stamp-A-Faire from yesterday.
Thank you for stopping by, I love it when you do!
Wow Sue! Beautiful coloring on both of these cards. It doesn't look like you're missing your mojo at all to me, but I know what you're saying when inspiration just doesn't hit. I love the curvy and lacy die at the top of the second card and the twine finishes it off perfectly!!
ReplyDeleteDitto to everything Birgit said...both of these cards turned out fantastic! Your coloring is beautiful and your simple finishes allow all that beauty to show through! I love the PB sentiment on the first card too...the font is also perfect for your lovely flowers! I'm totally in love with how you finished your 2nd card too...that bright pop of yellow is just perfect along with flowers and birdhouses! Beautiful, beautiful cards my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs, both perfectly colored! Thanks for joining us at the Color Throwdown!
