Sending You Sprinkles and Smiles

My card today covers a couple of challenges and a birthday wish.  The first one is Make It Monday #170 - Masking with Die Cuts, the 2nd is Color Throwdown #299 - using Strawberry Slush, Tempting Turquoise and Very Vanilla.  And lastly, the birthday wish is for fellow blogger, Darnell, who celebrated her birthday on July 3.  It's a little belated, but I know she will love it!

I used Stampin' Up's "Very Vanilla", "Tempting Turquoise" and "Stawberry Slush" card stock and "Tempting Turquoise" and "Strawberry Slush" inks.  The dies are from PaperTrey Ink's "Friendly Flower" die, "Friendly Flowers Extra" dies and "Shakers & Sprinkles" dies.  The stamps are from PTI's "Shakers and Sprinkles", "Ombre Builders" and "Friendly Flower sets.  Be sure to check out Erin Lincoln's video on how she masks the die cuts on her card at  Make It Monday #170.  I also used Tim Holtz's mini blending tools with SU's Strawberry Slush" and "Tempting Turquoise" inks.  I finished off the card with an oval shaker, turquoise colored sequins and die cut out the "Sprinkles" in SU's "Very Vanilla".  Don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards made for Darnell, Make It Monday #170 and CTD #299

Lastly, thank you Ardyth for hosting Darnell's birthday card linkz!  She is getting some great cards! Darnell, I just want to say it has been wonderful getting to know you over the blog world and I feel you are very deserving of this Shakers and Sprinkles card!  May all your dreams and wishes come true throughout this coming year!  Hugs!!!!

  5. Hey Sue. Wanted to let you know how cool this sprinkle/shaker card is! I'm a bit late with some of my commenting due to a run of migraines. This is fantastic, so bright and colorful, and wonderfully 'happy' birthday card. Thanks for linking up to the party and helping us celebrate one of the sweetest ladies in blogland! Bev
