Snowmen for Merry Mondays #103

I was so excited to see what this week's challenge was.  I love snowmen and have lots of snowmen stamps.  My challenge, which snowman to use.  It took me all week to figure that one out.  Then how did I want to design the card.  Kristie Goulet, you'll be so happy to know, I used some of my hoarded stash of designer paper with you in mind, which also puts me out of my comfort zone.  I have never been very comfortable using designer paper on my cards, because I don't think I pick the right combination.  I do have to give some credit to my hubby this week, he helped me pick out which dp to use as the base of the card.  Do you pick out your paper first then design your card around it or the other way around?

The snowman with his reindeer pal is from Whipper Snapper Designs #LY801d.  I used Gina K "Pure White" for my card base and used some of my hoarded stash of Stampin' Up snowflake dp.  It is so pretty, I really didn't want to cut it.  I embossed it with Sizzix "Snowflake" embossing folder and put that over the "Pure White" card stock.  I then cut out two "Pine Trees" from Tim Holtz big die.  Both trees were cut from Echo Park's 6x6 paper pack "Very Merry Christmas".  I paper pieced the snowman and reindeer from the same designer paper pack and colored him with Copics and "Clear" Wink of Stella.  The Copic colors I used were R-20, YR68, N4, R46, Y17, YG17, E23, E25, 100, C8, C9 and E29.  I pop dotted the snowman in front of the trees, put glossy accents on the ornament and jingle bells

and added some sequins to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping by and please go to Merry Monday's Challenge #103 to see all the beautiful snowman.  You won't be disappointed!
