It's another Merry Monday Challenge. This week we are to use the colors slate, kraft and white or cream. When I first saw this challenge and all the beautiful samples from the design team, I was really excited about the colors, until I started playing with slate and kraft together. This challenge didn't come together for me as easily as I thought it would.
The card stock I used were Gina K's Kraft and Pure Ivory and Bazzill's textured grey. The stamp I used is "Snowy Postcard" from Stampendous, which I stamped in SU's "Smoky Slate" ink on "Pure Ivory" card stock. I then wanted to make the card look old, so I used Tim Holtz's distressed "Brushed Corduroy" which is as close to a creamy color as I could find in my stash of inks. I finished the card off with some "Clear" Wink of Stella and cut the postage stamp out of grey card stock and the holly out of kraft card stock for some texture.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Easter...Alleluia, He is Risen! Don't forget to stop by Merry Monday's Challenge 104 to see the other beautiful cards.
