Hi everyone. We have another Festive Friday Challenge to post. I love snowflakes, I only wish that they wouldn't be falling from the sky in March as they are right now! Here's the beautiful inspiration photo.
I used Gina K's "Pure White" card stock for my base. I also used GK's "Pure White" card stock for the snowflakes, which I die cut from PaperTrey Ink's "Fancy Flakes". I covered them with Ranger's "Pearl X" for the shimmer. The shimmer didn't photograph as well as I wanted it too, but I think if you click on the close up photo, you will see the shimmer much better.
I covered the "Pure White" card stock with a piece of designer paper "Soft Pine on Green" from Deja Views (Sharon Ann collection). It's quite an old piece of dp. I hung the snowflakes by punching a couple of holes in the dp and putting light gray DMC floss through the snowflake and through the dp and tying a knot. I finished off the card with some snowflake ribbon from Makin Memories "Winter" ribbon set and added one more smaller snowflake in the upper corner.
Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to check out Festive Friday's Challenge blog to see the other beautiful snowflake cards.
Do you live in Toronto, per chance? 'Cause we've still got snow, too! And we're all pretty tired of it! lol! But I could never get tired of this gorgeous card - it has the feeling of a flurry! Great colours and I love the little pops of red, too! Thanks so much for joining us at Festive Fridays!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card, Sue!!! Love the snowflakes and the DP!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the snowflakes on your card SO much better than the ones that were flying around yesterday! And I love that DSP...it makes a perfect background for your fancy flakes!! Beautiful card! :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! The patterned paper is gorgeous and I love those snowflakes! Thanks so much for joining us at Festive Friday! :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is so clever, Sue! I love that you hung your pretty snowflakes like ornaments! I bet they'd look just as beautiful hanging all by themselves on the Christmas tree next year! Thanks so much for playing along with Festive Friday!
