Nick & Danielle's Wedding

What a great week we had.  Al and I took the week off as we had errands to do to get ready for family & friends coming in for the wedding.  We did get up to Traverse City on Tuesday to get some wine and hard cider for the rehearsal dinner.  Our daughter Sarah and her boyfriend Paul flew in from NYC on Wednesday afternoon.  Our future daughter-in-law Danielle drove over from WI on Wednesday, too.  Our house is filling back up again!  Our son, Nick, came in on Thursday with three of his buddies.  We had an awesome family-friends dinner on Thursday night and a great breakfast on Friday morning.  Al loves to cook for a crowd.

Rehearsal and dinner went very well Friday night and we had enjoyable evening again with family and friends.  Saturday morning was quiet until about 10am and then all the festivities started.  Danielle and Nick didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, but we did get some pictures of the bride and bridesmaids before the wedding and the same with the groomsmen, too.  The wedding was beautiful and my son had a

permanent smile on his face through the whole ceremony and the entire day!  He did tear up saying his vows and Danielle looked absolutely radiant!  It was a beautiful, sunny day, but just a tad hot and humid.  The wedding party drove around downtown to take more pictures before heading to the art museum for the reception.  I didn't have my phone with me at the reception as I didn't have a pocket to keep it in.  It was beautiful!  I can't wait to see the professional pictures the photographer took!  They are now off enjoying our MI weather by camping in the Upper Peninsula.
